Volunteers from A1 Croatia plant maple trees in our Village

They brought the maple tree saplings, shovels and potting soil and as soon as they had their morning coffee, they rolled up their sleeves and got to work in SOS Children's Village Lekenik!

Volunteers from A1 Croatia arrived in the Village early in the morning to join a three-day campaign called “Don’t be a sap, plant a tree instead”, aimed at mobilizing people around Croatia to plant trees to combat global warming.

Our children and SOS Children's Villages in general have always been environmentally aware and protective of our environment, so we were delighted when the A1 Croatia team joined the campaign to make Croatia greener. We wish them a lot of success in their mission!

After the job well done, the volunteers took a tour of the Village. They also visited the SOS Marigold House and met the SOS family living there. The youngest residents, who just arrived home from the kindergarten, showed them their rooms and favourite toys. In return, A1 Croatia employees donated everyday hygiene products to all the SOS families in the Village.

Once again, a big thank you to A1 Croatia!
