‘Entrepreneur as a Friend’ is a program of collaboration between small and mid-sized entrepreneurs and SOS Children's Village Croatia. Small and mid-sized entrepreneurs provide one-off financial assistance in the form of donations that cover the expenses of individual SOS families.

The donation options include:

  • 200 HRK – monthly cost of school supplies for six children from a single SOS family
  • 500 HRK – average monthly maintenance costs for a single SOS house
  • 800 HRK – monthly cost of speech therapy for a child
  • 1.200 HRK – pocket money for the vacation of six children from a single SOS family
  • 3.300 HRK – covering the monthly utility costs of a six-member SOS family: heating, water, electricity and municipal services

According to the applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia, donations from natural persons are not subjected to taxation. Corporate donations are not subjected to Profit tax if the amount of the donation is less than 2% of the company's revenues in the previous year, while the Value added tax act stipulates the tax-exempt of corporate money donations.
